Rajgir is an ancient city in the northeast Indian state of Bihar. Surrounded by hills, it's known for its holy sites. Remains of the Cyclopean Wall, which encircled the city centuries ago, still stand in the center. Close by, Venu Vana park was once home to a monastery built for Buddha. The shield-shaped Japanese Temple contains a huge Buddha statue. Nearby there are hot springs believed to have medicinal properties.

Day 1
Patna – Nalanda (100 KM, 3 Hr) – Rajgir (12 KM, 1/2 Hr)Arrive at Patna Airport/Railway Station. On arrival Buddhist Tour in India s tour representative will assist you in getting transferred to your car. Then get driven to Rajgir . En-route visit Ruines of Nalanda University , Nalanda Archaeological Museum at Nalanda and Xuan Zang Memorial . Later, reach Rajgir , check in to hotel/ Swiss Tent. In evening go to Rajgir Festival Ground for Cultural programs. Come back to hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2
Rajgir – Local Sightseeing – Saptaparni Caves -Cyclopean Wall – Griddhakuta (Vulture’s Peak)After breakfast visit Tourist Attractions of Rajgir . Explore Saptparni Caves which are famous Buddhist Caves. Later, visit Cyclopean Wall and Vishwa Shanti Stupa ( World Peace Pagoda) built by Japanese Buddhists . Later, visit Ashokan Stupa , Griddhakuta Hills , Swarn Bhandar and Maniyar Math . Return to hotel for lunch. In Evening visit Rajgir Mahotsav Ground to enjoy local sports like Wrestling, Tonga Race and Tug of War. Return back to hotel for dinner and over-night stay.
Day 3
Rajgir -Rajgir Dance Festival –Full Day cultural activityAfter breakfast proceed for full day cultural activities of Rajgir Dance Festival. Visit Rajgir Dance Festival ground to watch and participate in different activities like Folk Dances of Bihar, Classical Dance of India like Bharatnatyam, Kuchipudi, Kathak, Kathakkali, Odissey and more. Also enjoy Music Performance in Rajgir Mahotsav by renouned musicians. Later, you can explore Handicraft Stalls prepared by local artisans. You can buy beautifully hancrafted souvenirs in reasonale prices. Later, return to hotel/swiss camp for dinner and nightstay.
Day 4
Rajgir – Bodhgaya (Drop to Airport/Railway Station)After breakfast check out from hotel and drive to Bodhgaya Airport or Railway Station for onwards journey with pleasant memory of Rajgir Cultural Tour
Overview

Bodh Gaya is a village in the northeast Indian state of Bihar. Considered one of the most important Buddhist pilgrimage sites, it's dominated by the ancient brick Mahabodhi Temple Complex, built to mark the site where the Buddha attained enlightenment beneath a sacred Bodhi Tree. A direct descendant of the tree sits within the complex today, along with six other sacred sites, including a lotus pond.
