North Sikkim offers natural beauty at its best. Lachen and Lachung are the two main tourist towns; Lachen acts as a base for a trip to Gurudongmar and Lachung is the base for visiting the Yumthang valley area.

Day 1

ARRIVAL NJP STATION / BAGDOGRA AIRPORT – GANGTOK (130 Kms / 04 Hrs)On arrival at the NJP Railway Station / (IXB) Bagdogra Airport, (500Ft / 150Mts) you will be met by our Office Executive who will assist you in boarding your vehicle to Gangtok (5500 Ft /1677 Mts). Check in. Overnight at the Hotel

Day 2

GANGTOKAfter breakfast, go for a full day sightseeing tour covering Rumtek Monastery – famous for the Golden Stupa, Jhakri Waterfalls – where you get absorbed in the sound of water. Also visit Do-drul Chorten – a significant holy stupa of Gangtok, the Research Institute of Tibetology – a museum beautifully laid out with Buddhist history (Closed on Sunday) and the Directorate of Handicrafts & Handloom – a heritage gem (Closed on Sunday). Also enjoy a Flower Show. Overnight at the Hotel.

Day 3

GANGTOK – TSHANGU LAKE (43 km / 03 hours)After a hearty breakfast in the morning, start your day with an excursion to Baba Mandir & Tshangu Lake - situated at a height of 12400Ft / 3780 Mts, with an average depth of 50 ft. The cool water of the lake is perfectly attuned with the scenic beauty around. Tshangu Lake is revered as a holy lake by the locals of Sikkim. What’s interesting is that the surface of this lovely lake reflects different colours with the change of seasons. Visited by hundreds of people each day, Baba Mandir is a beautiful holy shrine. Get back to Gangtok. Overnight at the Hotel. (In case of a Landslide or any reason due to which Tshangu Lake is closed, we will provide an alternate sightseeing).

Day 4

GANGTOK- PELLING (116 Km / 04 hours)Transfer to Pelling (5500 Ft / 1675 Mts). Overnight at the Hotel.

Day 5

PELLING – YUKSOM EXCURSIONAfter breakfast, we drive to Yuksom (5840 Ft / 1780 Mts, 35 Kms / 02 Hrs). On the way, we indulge in some panoramic sightseeing of Darap Village, Rimbi Water fall & the Hydro Project. Also visit the Khecheopalri Lake (6000 Ft / 1829 Mts), it is one of the most sacred Buddhist mountain lakes and it is believed that whatever is wished in front of the lake comes true. Myth is that when a leaf falls on the placid clear water surface, it is picked by a bird. Also visit Kanchanjunga Waterfalls. A further drive takes you to Yuksom (the meeting place of three monks) - the first capital of Sikkim. This was the place where the first Chogyal (a ruling dynasty in Sikkim) was crowned. In the evening, get back to Pelling. Overnight at the Hotel.

Day 6

PELLING – DARJEELINGAfter breakfast, transfer to Darjeeling (6710 Ft / 2046 Mts, 125 Kms / 05 to 06 Hrs). Check in. Overnight at the Hotel.

Day 7

DARJEELINGGet ready for an early morning tour to Tiger Hills (8364 Ft/2550 Mts at around 4 AM) to view a captivating sunrise over the Kanchendzonga Peak (subject to clear weather). On your way back, visit Ghoom Monastery and the Batasia Loop. After breakfast, go for a half-day sightseeing tour of the Japanese Temple, Peace Pagoda, the Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park & the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute. (Closed on Thursday). Also enjoy the Darjeeling Ropeway Ride (Ticket cost not included & will be approx INR 180.00 per person). Visit the Tenzing & Gombu Rock – where Tenzing Norway did his training, the Tibetan Refugee Self-Help Center (Closed on Sunday) & get a scenic view of the lovely Tea Estate. Overnight stay at the Hotel in Darjeeling.

Day 8

DARJEELING - NJP STATION / BAGDOGRA AIRPORT (110 km / 03 hours)After breakfast, check out from the hotel & Reach the Bagdogra Airport / Railway Station for your jounrey onward. END OF THE TOUR & SERVICES
