Rajgir is an ancient city in the northeast Indian state of Bihar. Surrounded by hills, it's known for its holy sites. Remains of the Cyclopean Wall, which encircled the city centuries ago, still stand in the center. Close by, Venu Vana park was once home to a monastery built for Buddha. The shield-shaped Japanese Temple contains a huge Buddha statue. Nearby there are hot springs believed to have medicinal properties.

Day 1
Bodhgaya –Arrival –Local Visit to Mahabodhi Temple & Bodhi TreeAfter arrival in Bodhgaya , pick up from Bodhgaya Airport/Railway Station. Check-in the hotel. Later, explore Local Sightseeing of Bodhgaya like Ancient Lord Buddha Temple (Mahabodhi Temple) and Bodhi Tree under which Lord Buddha got Enlightenment . The Mahabodhi Temple is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and famous Buddhist Pilgrimage place in India . Have dinner and overnight stay at hotel in Bodhgaya.
Day 2
Bodhgaya - Dungeshwari Cave Temples (30 KM, 1 Hrs) - Sujata Village - Buddhist Monasteries - Half Day Meditation SessionAfter breakfast drive to Gaya . Visit, Dungeshwari Cave Temples also known as the Mahakala Caves. Lord Buddha underwent years of penance here before he descended to Bodhgaya. Also visit Sujata Village Temple where Lady Sujata offered Kheer to Lord Buddha. Later, visit famous Buddhist Monasteries of Bodhgaya built by different nations. You can explore Burmese Monastery , Tibetan Monastery , Japanese Monastery and Chinese Monastery . Later, return to hotel. Have dinner and overnight stay in Bodhgaya.
Day 3
Bodhgaya -Rajgir (85 KM, 2 Hr) Local Sightseeing - Nalanda (12 KM, 30 Min) - Nalanda University Complex - Bodhgaya (100 KM, 3 Hrs)After breakfast, we will drive to Rajgir the Ancient Capital of the Magadha Empire and is a pilgrimage for Buddhists. The Japanese Buddhists have built the massive Vishwa Shanti Stupa on the Ratnagiri Hill. The stupa has statues of Buddha at the four stages of his life - birth, enlightenment, teaching and death. Griddhakuta (Vulture’s Peak) is another site where Lord Buddha stopped by to preach. Also visit Venuvan Kalakandanivapa , Bimbisar Prison and Pippala Caves . Have lunch in Rajgir. After lunch, drive to Nalanda to visit Nalanda University Archaeological Complex. After the walk around the ruins, visit the Xuan Zang Memorial Hall which is a Chinese Pagoda. Later, return to Bodhgaya. Have dinner and overnight stay in Bodhgaya.
Day 4
Bodhgaya- Drop to Bodhgaya Airport/Railway StationAfter breakfast, drop to Bodhgaya Airport/Railway Station. Return with pleasant memories of Holy Buddhist Trip in India.
Overview

Nalanda district is one of the thirty-eight districts of the state of Bihar in India. Bihar Sharif is the administrative headquarters of this district. The districts is home to the ancient Nalanda Mahavihara a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Nalanda is located in the Magadh region of southern Bihar.
