The original home of all white tigers alive today, Bandhavghar was once the hunting preserve of the Maharajas of Rewa. Has highest tiger population density in the world. 1500 Sq. Kms of forest area, hosts a good number of tourist annually. Apart from tigers it has 37 species of mammals, 250 species of birds, 80 species of butterflies and more. It is believed that the Bandhavgarh Fort was gifted to Lakshmana by his older brother Lord Ram to keep a watch on Lanka.
